Day 8 Happy Easter
Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter on this beautiful Sunday morning.
Some seriouse confusion about time out here on the Atlantic, as our phone clocks do not automatically update like they do on land when we go through a time zone, as they have no land to connect with. So we need to do it manually, obviously that only happens when we realize we have entered a new time zone, so that meant that I was up an hour early for my shift this morning, I could really have used the extra sleep. Sunrise was beautiful though, so that did put me in a more pleasant frame of mind.
Makyla made us a breakfast of bunny pancakes, which was a rather cute touch.
Since my shift is 6am - 12pm and the sea and wind are calm, it will make for some very pleasant Easter Sunday cooking. On the menu we have roast leg of lamb, rice, cauliflower, zucchini and home made greek yoghurt to make my tzatziki. I actually still have some rolls in the freezer so I will use a couple of those for some garlic bread. Needless to say a good bottle of red wine will also be on the table.
We have been having some challenges with the electric oven as it seems to get sea sick and just turn off while cooking grrrr. So I will be using the gas oven, I am still a little unsure about this gas oven but its time to get the hang of it, so today is that day.

After lunch we just rested and lazed around with our very full tummies, thankfully everything was calm so we could all just enjoy the day, and life on the water.
The wind is dying completely, we only have 6 knots AWS, (apparent wind speed )believe it or not we are still getting 5 knots SOG (speed over ground) with Mr Oxley still flying and dragging us along, although he does have a little flap going on now, as the wind direction as also changed to 150° on port.
