The Return to Salvador
What a journey these last 45 days of separation have been as Intle Breeze Crew. As you all know we divided up into three separate groups and travelled to very different parts of the globe. Panama, Europe and Australia, we could not have been further apart, but with so much sharing of each others journeys.
The divide was exciting for all of us, Lester and Angela headed to Panama in Central America for their adventure, Eric and I to Europe to see our nearest and dearest as well as friends, then of course Makyla was off to Australia to meet hundreds of our Fernandez family members.
This time we all had was a journey beyond sailing, but somehow intertwined because of the lifestyle of adventure we have chosen.
One of us has lost a loved one and that has been incredibly painful, emergency flights home to South Africa while leaving the other half on an unknown continent alone, through the toughest times having to be alone without your partner is not an easy journey and requires a substantial amount of strength.
Some more of our loved ones are battling the brutalities of age, and stand by long haul flights are in the balance. While we are all so many thousands of miles away, we share in each others pain and the possible changes to our journey due to life's circumstances.
We have grown into an awesome crew that can handle all the challenges that come our way. We have shared literally every part of our hearts, souls, highs and lows best and worst moments. There have been tears, fears, death, medical, love and everything in between. Some of which is not for sharing and will remain between us crew, this has required us all to have each others backs no matter what the journey maybe.
For now we are 4 back aboard, just waiting for Angela.
