We Made it Day 10
Just after 06:00am this morning the mountain of St Helena came into view and we eased ourself toward the anchorage. We dropped the pick without any issues, was surprisingly easy, ok besides the fact that the chain counter stopped working again, at least this time we had painted the chain so we had a pretty good idea of how much was out, oh wait !!! it's all of it as we are in 20 meters of water. Now all we have to hope for is that we do not drag with this tiny bit of chain we have out. We have huge trust in our Rocna anchor as to date she has not failed us, always rock solid once she grips.

After waiting and waiting waiting and waiting!!!! More than one early morning arrival shot, while we waited in great anticipation for customs and immigration to board us, as they clearly state on the website that they do this. We get a total NO SHOW as you can imagine all we want to do is, eat and sleep by now.
After quite some time a water taxi, driven by a crazy Saint arrives to tell us no no no they don't do that anymore bring your papers I will take you to land. One more shot and off we went.

Before we got to customs and immigration the first thing Makyla literally did was kiss land, I think this might have felt like an extremely long journey although she was a champion always available when needed, did all her shifts even when she was feeling sick. Of course Eric is not even legal in the country yet and is helping some guys on the dock 🥹 The excitement is really for seeing land and alternative people.
Clearing customs and immigration was pretty easy and painless. We took a short walk around the town, grabbed some breakfast and a couple of drinks and headed right back to the boat to get some real rest.
